Water CHaRM(Contaminants Hazards and Risk Mitigation)

Our research is dedicated to addressing critical water pollution challenges and their impacts on both human communities and ecosystem health. With a One Health perspective, we investigate the fate and control of waterborne emerging contaminants, including:

  • Antimicrobial resistance (AMR)
  • Microplastics
  • Other synthetic organic contaminants (e.g., plastic additives, liquid crystal monomers)

Through interdisciplinary approaches, we aim to develop early-warning risk assessment framework and sustainable engineering solutions to mitigate environmental contamination and safeguard public health, by protecting the aquatic interface.
